She rocked it

She had a lot of fun performing; she definitely has some star quality. I couldn't get very good pictures but Dann took video. She was adorable and she kept looking at us and smiling really big. I was so proud of my baby.

I'm just ready to do this thing.

I just took the State and General test. I passed the General side but I'm still lacking in points for the State side. The positive is that I don't have to take the General again. I just need to take the State side which is only 50 questions instead of the 130 questions I had with both. I'm going to try again as soon as possible so I can get the license finally. I'm ready to be done with studying for at least a while.

Little Ballerina

Sarah is going to be a ballerina in her school play tomorrow so I'll make sure to post some pics.!

Bloggeriffic Posting Time!

I passed my Realty school test! I can't believe I did it but I'm so happy I did. I did it I did it I did it! What a relief. Life is good. All I wanted for Christmas was to pass this test and I did! I also wanted Julia to be potty trained and that seems to be working out too! I guess that's enough exclamation marks.
So now all I have to do is pass the State test and then I can be licensed. This is really the best thing that has happened to me all year.

Troy and Asia Dress Up Time.

Both pictures cut off the top hat. They really liked getting dressed up their tails were wagging the whole time. After a while they got a little restless and started chewing on each others outfits.

Halloween

Sarah had a Harvest Potluck at her preschool which was pretty neat. Her class performed an Irish dance, poem, and song. Dad,Grandpa, Dann, Julia, and I were able to make it but Julia had this bored look on her face the whole performance and she said she was just unimpressed. The younger classes performed as well. The 3s' did a Peruvian dance wearing cute Peruvian hats. The 2s' did a little parade down the hall in their costumes, and the babies were in their cribs while the teachers rolled them around all synchronized. One baby was dressed as a tootsie roll and the girl next to him kept slapping him in the head but of course he couldn't really move because he was wrapped up in this tootsie roll costume, he took it pretty well though. The whole thing was precious. Then we went to the classroom for a potluck we brought lasagna and there was a lot of Asian Cuisine brought by most of the parents which was so delicious. Sarah even ate a sticky rice ball with fish, I was amazed and proud that she liked something different.
It was really fun getting Sarah ready, she sat completely still while I did her makeup. She loved looking in the mirror after it was finished. She told Dann she thought she looked a little bit like the Joker. Julia was not so cooperative about getting ready. She just woke up from a nap so nothing could make her happy but tootsie rolls. The girls had a good time trick or treating. Dann and I went out and saw Zach and Miri Make A Porno, it was pretty good. Mom and Dad took the kids trick or treating with my Dads' friends and there little girl and then his friend had a party that they all went to after that. Then they went to my grandparents and my Grandpa kept them out for an hour mostly because he has to talk to everyone(maybe that's where Sarah gets it). I love that she has that kind of personality, I wish I did.
Anyway they were out until pretty late. Dann and I called it we knew Sarah was going to be exhausted and that Julia would be ready for another round. As soon as Julia walked into the door she she says "Daddy I'm wide awake!", good times. She's so funny. They had a good time. My mom said that's the last time she wants to go to a party where she only knew one person. Understandably so. Next year I think I'll take them to the local shopping center where Dann and I went to the movies. It looked like everyone was having a lot of fun and it's just the right amount of walking for small kids.

What a girl wants

I have to dedicate this blog to Angie.
Julia and I picked up the package she sent and it had the cutest things. I really love my purse and the body splash that smells like Pina Colada. Julia was so happy when she saw the wings and the Jewelry. We took them home and Sarah was ecstatic, once I got everything on her she said that she felt like a princess. They ran around for about an hour clarifying which fairy they were. Angie you are a genius! Thank you very much.

Not This Time

Well, unfortunately I didn't pass this round. So I'm going to have to keep studying for round 2. Our instructor said he would throw some tricky ones in there. Every tricky one he threw in there really tricked me! Every question that I thought could be one or the other I always picked the wrong one with out fail. So next time I'll just pick the other one. I guess memorization of the book wouldn't hurt either. Dann has some study program where it keeps testing you w/ multiple choice until you get it all write with out fail so I will def. do that this time. Next test I will have on Dec. 10th so I'll pass that one, especially since I now have an idea of what the test is like.

Test So Soon!

My school exam is next thursday, excuse me while I freak out. I am not ready. But I have two practice exams so I'll just focus on that for the next week. Maybe I can change the anxiety into excitement.

Good Times

My Parents took the girls out on Saturday night. They saw a Childrens' Play at the University. It was called Snow Fox and they really loved it. There were lots of animals, a sun, and a moon and that's about all I gathered from the event. But they were really excited about it.

Friday, September 19, 2008

I just found out what lease hold is and it's crazy. They have it in Baltimore, California, and Hawaii. But it's really bad here. In the 50's the people who had come to Hawaii couldn't find a place to build homes. Then Bishop Estate decided to lease out the land and charged a low amount per month. Then in the 80's they had offered to sell the properties but for such a high amount that no one could think of buying it. Then in the 90's Bishop Estate pushed the price of lease up enough where people had to give up there homes. Most of the Lease Hold property has been sold since then but there is still some. A condition of the lease hold is that after 55 years Bishop Estate can take back all the leased land and the people will be left with nothing. So in about 5 years we are going to see how Bishop Estate and the lessees are going to deal with that. I can't imagine what it will be like for the people who have invested all that money and time to be left with nothing in the end.

The Girls

Julia has been steering clear of chemicals recently. She's been really good actually. Sarah and Julia keep telling each other that they love each other and then they'll hug really tight; it's really sweet. The girls have also started there "nastics"; this is when they do somersaults in the yard. Julia likes' to knock the chairs over and pull herself up on the top legs and then flip. Julia is still not interested in potty training. I don't want to force her into it but I would like her to start. Dann read some where that the average age for girls is three. That seems to be the time where Sarah really had it. Julia is just very set in her ways and if she doesn't want to do something she wont. But she does seem to go to her room and close the door when she poops so maybe that's a start.
Mom and Dad are so good with the kids. Dad got a soccer ball to play with the girls and they had a lot of fun with it this morning. Mom dropped me off at ballet yesterday and took the girls to the mall. I have to say that I do have a lot more time for myself then before we came here. It's very important for sanity sake and if I'm healthier then I'll be better for the girls as well.
Sarah is getting to be more grown up all the time. It's so strange to me she really isn't a baby any more. This past week she's been singing Twinkle Little Star at bed time the whole way through. Before she would sing one line over and over again but she really has the song down now. She also sings her alphabet now and "reads". She recites the story from her memory as she's turning the pages. It just amazes me.

I'm So Cool

Today I failed my Hawaii drivers' license test. Which is ridiculous because I know all that stuff. I mean I've been driving for a decade. I just have really bad test anxiety which sounds like a loaded excuse but it's the truth. So I have to take the driving part and the written part next week. Hopefully I'll pass or maybe I'll get a bike or bus pass. It's just so stupidly embaressing.
I started Real Estate Class this past week and it was ok. I know I'm going to need to study my butt off so I know the whole thing backwards and forwards. So when that adrenalin creeps up on me I'll be able to still answer the questions. I have two months to study so hopefully if I don't have a drivers' license I'll at least have a Real Estate License. It's funny and by funny I mean very sad because this is the second time I failed the Hawaii Drivers test. Six years ago I took the same test, failed, and then failed the road test. Major De Ja Vu. The only difference was I cried uncontrolabley last time. So at least I'm matureing maybe. Any way, there are far more pressing matters in the world so with all things considered it's not that big of a deal; just very embaressing.

Computer connection in our room!

We got our computer moved to our room yesterday; it really is cool to have such instant access. We totally rearanged our room so there is so much more space! It looks like we could fit three cars in here =). It really does look nice. Mom, Dann, and I completely switched the furniture around the living room/dining room so now we have so much more space and it flows so much better.
So I'm pretty happy about all of that and Dad and I put together a closet organizer in the girls room so now it's so much easier to put stuff away. I go crazy for storage these days, it makes me excited.
Dann chaperoned Sarahs' first class trip to the aquarium. He said it was fun; the kids have a really hard time fallowing directions but then again they are 4. So all in all they had a blast.

Sarah is a big girl now.

She went to school for the first time on Friday and loved it. It was a little bit more rough getting her ready for school today because she insisted I make pancakes at the crack of dawn. Now that I look back on it I should've just made her the darn pancakes. She was also mad because she didn't like the way I was fixing her hair. The girl is particular. She's learning Spanish for 15 min. a day. The teacher was impressed on how she was picking it up. They also have a bad manners table for the kids who aren't eating nicely. When Dann walked in to pick her up last Friday there was a little boy sitting at the bad manners table by himself because he was poking other kids with a fork. I thought that was pretty funny and a good idea to try at home. It's been really quite with out Sarah but me and Julia are having some excellent quality time.

Mammas Here!

Mom got in a couple of days ago and we are all happy she's back. We've been getting a lot of things done. Today we all got together to work on the house and it feels so much better.

Weight Watchers Yogurt

Rachel Ray is one of my favorite celebrities. So when some kid offered me a magazine subscription I was all over that. The magazine is great, it has awesome house hold tips and recipes. At least a quarter of the thing is advertisements, but hey that's every magazine. The weight watchers yogurt advertisement pulled me in with all the desert sounding flavors. This morning I tried it and I can't get over the fake sugar. It's so disgusting, I hate how fake sugar has a mediciney taste to it. So if you don't like fake sugar, it's safe to say don't try it.

Monday, August 11, 2008

As of late.

It looks like I'm entering the world of Real estate. Classes start in September twice a week for 8 weeks. Once that is done and I pass with flying colors; I will then learn the odds, ins, and outs of Real estate with Dads' help. So I'm excited about learning something new and helping out with Dads' business.
The girls are doing well, I've been searching for people to put together a playgroup with and it's finaly coming together. I met this really nice lady named Rosa and her 21 month old. They just moved here from Colorado a month ago and they are great. The girls love her little girl named Taylor. She recomended some sight to me and so we now have a play group with one other lady that I haven't met yet. I'm pretty sure most people work in Hawaii Kai and as a consequence all the kids seem to be in day care. I think it will be fine for this year though. Sarah will be in preschool and Julia and I can fill our days up with playgroups and trips.
I'm just excited for this business venture because it will work well with the kids and we'll have income while Dann is going to school full time.

Midnight Summers Gleam

We all went to this thing last night. It was like a big party; there was Dragon Dancers, Bag Pipes, Tahitian Dancing, and Fighting. There were also tons of activities for the kids; it was really fun.

Sarah Day

Yesterday was a Sarah day. Dann took Sarah to get her hair cut. Dann said that she sat up in the chair and told the lady to cut it short and that she was smiling ear to ear the whole time. Her hair is chin length and looks so cute. Then they saw Hell Boy and both had a good time.
Dad gave me some tickets for The Wizard of Oz playing at Diamond Head Theater. He suggested I take Sarah so we left to go see it at 7pm; pretty close to her bed time. I told her she didn't have a bed time and she cheered. On the way to the theater she asked me if I knew what Hell Boy liked. I answered with Kitties and she said no, beer. I was so surprised I had to laugh.
The play was awesome; everyone was so talented. The Witch was so good she was 10 times better then the one in the movie. The Tin Man had a beautiful voice and everything was so good. Sarah stayed up through the whole thing and was very well behaved. It was special since it was the first play that she has seen and I was happy to be the one to take her.

t.v.

Sarah really likes Buffy. Dann has been Netflixing so I was watching it yesterday. Sarah walks by and shouts "Yay Buffy" and ran around play fighting with Julia because they are superheros. Julia thinks that Buffy is cute. Aunt Grace would be so proud.
Sarah and I were also watching What Not to Wear a couple days ago. When it was over she started looking at my dress and said that I need to wear a flattering dress. I really got a kick out of that. She also said I need to have pants, shirts, and purses. I think we've watched enough of that show for a while.

4th of July Parade

Grandpa is going to be dressed as Uncle Sam in a parade tomorrow and he asked if Sarah could march with him. I asked Sarah if she wanted to and at first she was confused and said no. Hours later she says "I've changed my mind mommy I want to go to the parade with Papa.", so I think that it will be very nice. Grandma got her a navy blue dress and an Uncle Sam hat to wear so she'll be all decked out. I'm taking pictures and definitely bringing the stroller for Julia.

I love the North Shore

This morning we got in the car very early and drove to the North Shore. It's about an hour and a half drive but it's definitely worth it. We stayed at the Waimea Beach Park for 2 hours and Sarah actually swam in the ocean. It was the first time since we've been here so it was pretty amazing. Sarah also made some friends which always makes her day. Dann and I took turns swimming; I love swimming it gives me such a huge sense of freedom. I can't wait until Julia learns because I know she's gonna love it with the rest of us. Julia and Sarah did have a lot of fun making cakes and sand castles. Julia was making chocolate budge cake for her friends; she is so funny. It was a nice Stay-cation.

Thursday, June 26, 2008

Sarah went with Dann to the game store yesterday. Dann told me that she kept waving to the clerk until he noticed her and then she said hi. When they were about to leave she did the same thing to say bye and then she gave him an air kiss! I am in for some trouble.

Thursday, June 19, 2008

I started a garden a while back and on Sarahs' birthday we planted sunflower seeds. She got them as part of her present from Aunt Mary. Today they came up and I was so excited. So all day Sarah and I have been just playing in the dirt. She keeps saying she's a big girl and that she wants to share her life with me because big girls share there lives. She really is growing up fast.
My 4 year old keeps telling me that she wants me to be a princess one day so that I can be pretty and wear dresses. She makes me feel so loved.

Wednesday, June 11, 2008

Sarah had her birthday on the 9th and she had an amazing time. She opened most of her presents in the morning and she got Dora Saves the Mermaids from us. So she spent hours watching that because she was waiting for that one since Christmas. I made her favorite Macaroni meal for lunch. Then we picked up her Dora, Swiper, and Boots cake with flowers. She'd been asking for that for a week so she loved it. We took the cake to Grandmas and swam there. Once dinner got started Sarah could barely sit down because she was so excited. I got quite a migraine because the whole day she was shouting about her Birthday and playing the Chicken Dance song that her Nana got her. Betty got her this Chicken Dance skirt that has the music box in it. Sarah took the music box out and carried it everywhere with her. Luckily she left it at Grandmas. But she had a great time so I wasn't too worried about my migraine.

Saturday, June 7, 2008

Dann, the girls, and I saw Kung Fu Panda yesterday. Well Julia and I didn't as much because she kept needing to "use the potty"; which was really her excuse to push buttons on a arcade machine. I was a little peeved but realistically that's to be expected of a 2 year old. The 20 minutes we saw of the movie was funny especially because Sarah was laughing hysterically. Just hearing her laugh like that made it worth coming. So Julia and I eventually ended up going to the price buster store that was next door to the movie theater. It was lucky we did because I found kid hangers and I looked everywhere for them; so it was a happy accident that I sort of found them by dumb luck. I love when that sort of thing happens. I also bought a float ring for when Julia gets in the pool. It's a really cute poka dot hippopotamus; she called it a Backyardigan at first because it looks alot like Uniqua the poka dotted hippopotamus. But it helped her stay in the pool last night with Dann and Sarah which was awesome. Usually she gets in the pool for about 20 minutes and then she's done but she had so much fun floating around.
After they were done swimming in the pool I made shrimp cakes with pepper cream sauce. I kept messing up and having to fix up my mess so I wasn't sure if the shrimp cakes would turn out all right. But everybody liked them. We had to drink milk with them though because they were so spicy. We also got our Play Station back after weeks of it being out of service. It got replaced by a new one so everything was wiped clean. But Dann was presently surprised we got it back so soon. Because it had been only a week since we had actually sent it in. So we were very happy to get it back especially Dann because now he'll be able to play Metal Gear Solid when it comes out.

Thursday, June 5, 2008

The Brokers Open House was fine. Only 5 people came to this one and everyone was pretty nice. Dad might want me to do more which would be nice. It's great to get out of the house for a couple of hours where it's nice and quite. The house was beautiful; I wanted to live there.

Wednesday, June 4, 2008

What's New

Yesterday Dad asked me to sit in on a open house for him. I just need to literally sit there so it should be easy enough. It's nice to know I can do him a favor since he and mom are doing so much for us.

Sunday, June 1, 2008

Sarah is becoming a really good swimmer. She jumps in the pool now and sticks her head under while she's swimming. She just loves the pool. Dann convinced her of how fun dipping your head under water is and she; it took a while for her but she caught on and is having a great time with it.

Memorial Lights

Last night Dann, the girls, and I went to Ala Moana beach to watch the light festivity. It was beautiful. The Concert Shell on the beach was all set up with Choir, Band, and lighting. A couple of boats were on the water holding all the lights so the boats were all lit up. As the music played the people riding the boats gradually put the lights on the water so at the end the coast was filled with floating lights. It was really touching because each of the lights were of thoughts and prayers for people that died in the wars.

Sunday, May 25, 2008

Last night Dann and I saw Rambos Son; it was pretty good. I thought it would be more funnysince they put all the funny parts in the previews. I liked seeing the lady from Spaced doing something a little more serious.

Sunday, May 18, 2008

Last night Dann and I saw Harold and Kumar. We got paistries while we were waiting and walked around; it was nice. Someone was smoking up right behind us which was kind of strange. The movie was predictable but still funny.

Wednesday, May 14, 2008

Sarah and Julia are having a really good time last night I made some barbecue chicken, potatoes, and portabella mushroom; it was delicious. The girls went streaking through the sprinklers after that; I figured the sprinklers would clean them and they had a blast doing it. Then they went in the pool.
Dad and I sat outside talking while we ate and he told me he's going to meet mom in Vegas in August and maybe see the Beatles themed Cirque Du Solet. I think that will be great for them since they haven't had a real vacation in ages; they both work very hard.
I've been enjoying the weather; it's a great place.

Monday, May 12, 2008

Yesterday Dann and I took the girls to see speed racer, shared a salad w/ the girls, and then I got a coconut chocolate bubble drink afterward which was really yummy; the girls ended up drinking half of it.
Today is Danns' Birthday I got him The COMPLETE worst-case scenario Survival Handbook and a Japanese Conversation Dictionary; I think he liked the books. Tonight I'm making Stromboli for the first time and boxed cake for desert. He also is at a job interview today so that's good. Things seem to be coming together.

Friday, May 9, 2008

This morning I woke up to the dogs barking. The reason for the excitement was a pigeon in the house; pigeons love this house for the dog food. It kept smacking into the window so I went to get something to carry it out. When I got back Asia was shaking the bird in her mouth. I kept trying to get her to spit the bird out. I ended up taking the bird outside with a towel. I didn't have the heart to finish it off. I asked Dann if he could but he was half asleep. I ended up putting it in a ziplock bag and throwing it in the trash after it was completely done; it was really sad; I don't even want to look at Asia now. Who knew a Shitsu could be so aggressive?
In brighter news Sarah is going to preschool on Sept.1. The place is really cute; it's only a couple years old but already pretty well established. There is maximum security, dance, crafts, gardening, great playground area, and they'll have a pet fish named swimmy. I really couldn't ask for more.

Wednesday, April 30, 2008

Dear diary today was awesome, no just kidding it just feels like that to me right now.
I love this blogging stuff. Dann, the girls, and I went to Koko Head botanical garden. It's a two mile walk and we didn't have any water or sunblock so we didn't make it very far. But we'll definitely go back some time. It's in the middle of a dormant volcano so it's very beautiful the plumarias are huge and they had all these different vibrant colored bougainvilleas; I really wanted to see what else they had but next time.
The girls had a good time; I put a bunch of plumarias in their hair so they were happy. We got shave ice after that; then we got shave ice again. Man I think I better cool it on the shave ice which will be hard because it's so good. Then after we had lunch the girls and I took Troy and Asia to Sandy Beach park and ran around with them. Sarah found a couple of good trees to climb up and Julia found a cute flock of birds to chase around so all in all it's been a good day.

Tuesday, April 29, 2008

We went to Sea Life Park yesterday. We got local rates and the kids were free, so we were pleased. First we saw the aquarium; it had sting rays, all sorts of fish, eels that had there own tanks and pipes, and a tiny lobster.
Then we saw some huge turtles that were swimming in a shallow pool. We were so close to them we could have touched them. Of course the sign said not too. But one of them definitely paused for a good while and was checking us out; it was so cool. Then we saw the dolphins swimming around for a little while before the kids played on the parks' playground. After the girls had played for a while the Dolphin/Sea Lion/Penguin show was starting so we left the playground and watched the show. Julia insisted that the dolphins were sharks at first but I finally convinced her otherwise, I think it was just their top fin that threw her off. There was Reggae music playing; I guess Sarah really liked it because she stood up on one of the seats and was swaying her hips back and forth to the beat with a very satisfied look on her face. Dann and I were cracking up. I was laughing so hard that I started to tear up.
The show was awesome. The Trainers had the Sea lions walk through the front aisle so everyone could see them. They danced, waved, and saluted, they were adorable. They had the penguins do the same but they were just doing the cute penguin walk which was cute enough in itself. After that we were all pretty thirsty so we headed on home. Dann got ice cream and I got coconut shave ice with creme on top; it was delicious. The girls were already asleep so we didn't have to worry about them getting sugar highs. Anyway it was a good day.

Setting Stuff Up

Well my mom and dad are leaving for the funeral next Thursday, which means we will have my moms' car for the next four months then we will figure out what we want to buy right before she gets back either moms' car or another used one. This Friday we are going to look at a preschool that's down town, it's between this one and a Montessori school. Either way I think she will do well. Once we have my moms' car I just have to get to the social security office to get a rough copy of my social security card then we send in our form to get potential financial preschool help. It would be really great if we did but I'm sure lots of families are applying for this. It would be nice to get the help but if we don't we will find a way.
So I guess that's about it as far as that stuff goes. My cousin Nikki is staying at my grandparents right now, she will be here until Sunday. So I definitely need to try and see her before she leaves for Seattle. Life is good.

At Peace

At 9:30 Maryland time Grandma stopped breathing. Mom told me this morning when I woke up. I'm really glad that the girls and I got to visit with her before we left. I know not one has anything to do with the other but last night was the first night since we got here that the whole house got any rest. I pulled the pack and play down from the attic and hung up a thick curtain so the light wouldn't come in from outside and Julia fell asleep right away. So we all slept through the whole night. It just made me think that maybe something in Omas' bones told her that everyone she loves is taken care of. My Aunt Kathy was staying with her which I think was the best possible person to be there; being the oldest daughter and the one who has tried to get back to visit as much as possible.
My grandma has been the most graceful and humble person I have ever known all the way up until the end. I know she has lived a full life and was a wonderful mother, wife, and oma. The last time I sat with her we looked at pictures; we laughed and smiled about them, especialy the one with her and my grandpa and his big bushy beard, she looked at that one for a very long time. I think she was ready for the next step and I'm just glad we got a chance to say goodbye.

Dann is here!

I missed him so much it was so awesome to see him at the airport partly because I actualy found where he was in the confusion that is the airport. We have so much that we have to set up which is extremely stressfull but all the same it's wondefull to have my partner back with me. I don't know how military people do the whole seperation thing, I give them props.
Today I also got a call from my best friend who is the only person that reads this. Hey Grace! It was so cool to hear from you today, you rock!

Preschool

So we've been here for over a week and I think everything is finally catching up with me I'm exausted allready. I've been looking for a preschool for Sarah and there is so much involved in research alot of places have a 50 dollar application fee which is rediculous to me. But hopefully we can get her into a good place. It's really nice to have my mom around, she is so supportive. It's good to know she's on the same page.

The Plane ride and cozying in

The girls and I had a 15 hour trip the first 5 hours we sat next to somebody; he was an older man so I'm not sure how pleased he was with us but I tried to contain us all. I also made alot of apologies and thanks to the man, I'm sure he'll be fine in the long run. The second 7 hour flight was good because we each had our own seat, it was great accept for the last 4 hours which isn't too shabby for 14 hours of travel. Julia ate so much mint gum that her poo smelled mint(I know TMI but I thought it was funny). The girls just sort of had enough of being cooped up I think and were just going nuts on those last 4 hours but on the last lay over I let them run around a play with another little girl so I think they got some energy out. and the last flight was only a half hour so over all I think everything ran smoothly; or at least I maintained some of my sanity.
My Dad picked us up at the airport and gave us leighs and when he walked away Sarah said that Papa was her favorite papa; which I thought was sweet. Mom was at home to greet us and show us our rooms. The girls room is painted purple and green with Hello Kitty blankets to match. My room in the garage is suprisingly spacious. I have a freezer in there, washer and dryer, and one of those awesome tower fans. Mom put some drawers in there for me but I think we might need one more and a small hanging closet and then we will be set. The girls love the pool. They get in it as much as I am willing to pull them in and out. I love the fact that my parents have cable thank God for PBS. The girls have been getting up at 5:30 in the morning so after a couple hours of non stop running around it's nice to turn it on and take a breather. My Dad, me, and the girls walked their dogs around this morning; we walked pretty fare down the ridge and going up was pretty steep but we all hung in there. It was a nice walk. I'm missing everyone in Maryland so much but things are going well. It's very good to have my parents help out for even just an hour here or there and they are happy to see there grandchildren. I think with having 4 adults in the house the girls are going to benefit with the attention and guidance they will receive.

First Blog Ever.

We're leaving for Hawaii from Maryland at 7am and should be in Hawaii at 4pm Hawaii time. I've taken care of most of what I've needed to for packing and wrapping our lives up here. Tomorrow the kids are dyeing eggs with their "Nana" so that should give me a little more time to work things out. Sunday is Easter so I'm taking the kids to Silverspring to see Aunt Mary and Grandma in the morning and taking them to there "Papas" in the afternoon. So we will have made our rounds by the end of Sunday. Monday will be a good day to rest and try and get rid of more stuff. There is so much involved with moving but I'm excited for the trip and stay.
